*Temple Texas celebrates JUNETEENTH with a FREE communityEVENT. This year's event marks the 159th year anniversary of the emanicipation of enslaved African Americans in Texas. The event will feature the annual parade, live music, free lunch, vendors and activities for all ages. Speakers will include local community leaders : Zoe Grant- District 2 City Councilwoman, & Terris Goodwin founder of Wake Up Temple as well as keynote speaker Jennifer Lee canidate for State Representative -District 55 they will discuss the signifiance of Juneteenth & its importance in American history. The event is free and open to the public. *All donations will be dedicated to the scholarship fund supporting the edication and future of derserving students
